VR Sani-Co Supports Local Enterprise Day

VR Sani-Co Ltd, a leading supplier of Feminine Hygiene and other related services in Kent and the South East has once again demonstrated commitment to its support for the local community.

In March 2011, EBP Kent (Education Business Partnership) in conjunction with Ursuline College in Westgate, held a very successful Careers Day at the college, to help prepare students for their life after education. Many local organisations and companies were involved on the day in a number of different ways.

Martin Crowther, managing director, of VR Sani-Co Ltd was involved with interviewing a number of students during this Enterprise Day. This was to give the students experience of a real life interview situation to help prepare them for future interviews for either further education or for job applications. “Anything that can help prepare these young people, for what could be a very long career path in the future, can only be a good thing and is something that we are only too happy to assist with” remarked Martin.

Martin and his wife Jackie started their own business in 1992, launching into the UK the Hygiene Bag Dispenser System for sanitary disposal within en-suite hotel rooms. They were very successful in securing business with many 4 and 5 star hotel in the UK and Ireland and have also achieved business in areas as far apart as Ecuador and Dubai. Their range of products and services has expanded over the years to include sanitary and nappy disposal services, along with air freshening, sanitising, and soap refill services plus products such as baby change units and hand drying systems.

Martin puts at least some of their success down to the company’s close association with groups such as EBP Kent as well as the local educational establishments like Canterbury Christ Church University who organise knowledge transfer events. “Such events and working with young fertile minds helps us to regularly evaluate our business model and certainly keeps us on our toes”, says Martin. “ We hope to be able to continue and further develop these relationships in the future”.
